We wanted to press a vinyl LP, but instead thought it may be fun to arrange the "tracks" on the CD like a vinyl LP, complete with "needle drop" and "lead out" . We paid particular attention to the track order so as to have a real "Side One" and "Side Two" to the Album. The CD comes in a plastic Jewel case with front liner art and back cover.

We used to rehearse in an old hall room, nestling in a valley of Dartmoor in Devon, which was the board room of a water supply company before nationalisation. The hall had been build under the shadow of the dam which held back the reservoir (still in use) for the water supply The "Old Bill" in the song was the chairman of the company and his photograph, still on the wall after all those years,looked down on us as we played. The hall is often used by Dan the current owner to hold musical parties and we imagined a time past when the country folk would walk through the summer evenings to attend the dance. This song is for Dan whose generosity meant we could play for free, and to memories of the starlit walk from the hall to our cars to drive through the lanes of Devon back to our homes.
